Topic tags/keywords: rain hummingbird

As mentioned on another thread, we had quite the thunder storm earlier.
Hubby and I always sit on the deck and enjoy Mother Nature’s antic.

Our friend the hummingbird did not allow the storm to stop it from coming to feed:

I hope you enjoy the rain glistening on our little friend as much as I do!

Mine are hiding. New sugar solution is inthe works for tomorrow.
The darn suet feeder melted all over the HB feeder today with the hight temps.

that’s awesome.

We saw our first Hummingbird yesterday – he flew right up to us and hovered for a moment and then flew off to check the flowerbeds. It was like he was saying “hello, I’m back”

Now that they are coming regularly to the feeders, we are planning to put one feeder directly above the table on the deck!
Usually by June they are friendly enough that they hover over out heads as we are reading!

one thing to remember is that our May 2-4 weekend is early this year. Next weekend is going to be beautiful.

MsD…it always amazes me the difference that one week can make in the weather.Wish they would just leave the long week end alone and have it fall closer to the 24th like it used to be.
