AWESOME.

To me, the Russia-Canada game was the game of the Olympics .. .but having found out that we now play Slovakia, well, now it is personal!! Martin and Michal vs. Debbie! hahaha :D I’ll be on the edge of my seat.

The good news is: if Slovakia wins, I’ll be excited that your team will be getting a medal. That’s awesome and I can then cheer for Slovakia. And if we win, well… :)

Go Slovakia – Go Canada :)

not at all.
they won the quarterfinal game against Russia (7-3) and now have this big game with Slovakia (semi-finals) and the winner of that game plays USA for gold/silver. (and the loser—ewwww what a nasty word—- is out of the medals)

I hope that Canadian players feels it the same way as you Canadian fans. It’s great for us to be underdog and it will be very tough for Canadians to play for Bronze medal :D

I agree, the game will be amazing but even the Russians said that after Canada’s scare(couple games ago), it was like waking a sleeping giant and Canada took it to them…..........it will be close scoring but Canada will win, they want it too bad, and being at home infront of a Canadian crowd…...sorry Slovakia.

We won few Silver and Bronze medals in the past as Czechoslovakia. After splitting to Czech Republic and Slovakia in 1993 our best position was 5th place in Olympic Games. Doesn’t matter if we will win or loose, this will be the best position in Olympic Games for Slovakia.

What a great try by them at the end!!!! I hope they beat Finland for the bronze :D

Wow! What an amazing game last night! Canada was lucky the game wasn’t 3 minutes longer or the out-come might have been different. Slovakia wanted that win. I think the Canadians were getting tired. We were lucky they held on and the end came when it did. It was a fantastic game! (and I’m not even a hockey fan :-))

I’m with you, Iris—never watch hockey but I’ve been on the edge of my seat this week!

Michal, did you get any sleep? (The game started at 3:30 AM in Slovakia)

and I thought a 9:30 start time was bad.
But the lack of sleep is worth it when you get a great game like last night’s!
