We finally had a nice day with no rain , and I had a day off work, so … out to the garden with the bucket and sheers to dead head. Then of course there were dahlias to be tied up, and Japanese lanterns and mint to be pulled. I took a few shots tonight which I thought I would share.

You have a beautiful garden. I enjoyed looking at all these flowers and also the little pieces of art you have tucked away in your garden (your other post). I enjoy gardens where there are little surprises hidden for a closer look. The nature spirits living in your garden – either ethereal or human – must be very playful. ; )

everywhere you look, you must see colour, texture, and beauty.
Do you have any inch of property that is not a piece of art?

I agree with MsDeb’s remark, re. every inch of your property, jroot. From your pictures we have gotten glimpses of your house and gardens. There is something to intrique one’s sight and senses at every turn.

I love the dahlias, that first one, the colour is so unusual, very nice. Lovely roses.

My friend and neighbour has Himalayan impatients in large clumps too and they are very showy.

Eveything is so lovely.
