I hope that has nothing to do with me. But it is great food. I always said that I wanted to die frumpy than skinny. HAAHAH just kidding. I wanna live for ever

I subscribe to Bon Appitit magazine and often use their web site to search out new recipes. I do love “comfort” food but after awhile it starts to bore me. Often I get an afternoon with nothing to do so I do a little research, do a litttle shopping and make dinner for the family. Funny cause when I met these people I live with, no one liked fish, no one liked “foriegn food”. The food here was in my opinion….”DULL”

My how things change. They love fish and look forward to a fresh meal made with fresh ingredients.

Thanks for the link

That is what excites me so much about starting to garden. I have this love for Italian food. I find it simple and fresh flavours. I like the fact that real Italian food is about that tomato. You can enhance the flavour but it should be always about the tomato trying not to dominate it. Having said that I also love Indian, Thai and just starting to really discover Japanese and the world of sushi. So far I have had some great experiences with sushi and I am loving it.

Indian food…...........yummy, yummy yummy. I save that for dining out due to the ever lingering smells it leaves behind. We have a fantastic Indian restaurant near us and I have known the owners for decades now. I always take new patrons and get to give then a tour of the kitchen. Very nice to watch them make the nam bread in the tandori oven and the way they cook is just fantastic.

I love Sushi. I love Thai, Italian, German, Greek, Middle eastern, French,............you name it, I like it.

I quit buying pasta many years ago, prefer to make my own.

I dont much care for Lima Beans.

The only stlye of food that I can not wrap my head around is Ethopian. The idea is really cool everything put on a lazy Susan in the middle and rip a piece of bread then dip it into anything you see fit. But alll the food was cold. Some of the stuff I thought propablly would taste fanastic hot but cold…......

I will try anything once….....

My neighbours where I grew up were Estonian and they had great food. That would a place that I would love to go.

I will take your word for it. I have ate the heart, tongue of a cow and love them. But for some reason the smell of liver then the texture and taste. Can not do it. Probablly the only food I will never eat again.

Food…the bane of my existence. I have never enjoyed many foods, mostly for the reaction my inner plumbing has with most of them. Sadly, this has restricted my diet to fairly bland foods for most of my life.

Recently, however, I have begun to change in a peculiar way: spice! Lately, the hotter the better for me! We had Mexican food last night, and I chose the hot salsa and my wife chose the mild. I very much enjoyed the hot stuff, and had no adverse repercussions!

I’m looking into planting some peppers this season, and growing some fire in my garden! >:-)

Well, I approach this newfound craving with some trepidation, as I have been literally laid up for a few days when my guts go on strike.

Still, I am definitely weird about food. If the texture, appearance, smell, etc., isn’t just right, I won’t touch it. I’ve been a right picky #$&*! my whole life…LOL

Oh that is not good to know “D” ... I have a grandson who seems like “you” and we are hoping he will grow out of it … He has some real issues with food textures … and appearance too. Had never seen anything like it … hmmmmmm, maybe he won’t grow out of this … hmmmmmm ….

My dad has for the longest time had issues with his plumbing (long story on this one) and recently got diagnonsised with Crones disease. But that was one thing he said seemed to help him was eating spicy foods.

I too like heat but if the taste is not right then I am not into it. To me it is about taste with fire in the background. Hence why I think I like Italian food so much.

Know I am not really in the “heat” discussion … but bncprez … sorry to hear about your Dad and Crones ... hope they get/got it under control for him.
