I remember it well Bob.Ahhh the good ole days. (lol)
But it’s true that we haven’t come too far. Most of our good farmland in this area is all paved and houses and malls now.Soooo sad.

I, too, remember it well. I drove through a lot of really fine farmland today. It is not all bad. Take the time to travel the back roads. They are well worth the extra time to do it.

I agree Jroot. That’s why I moved further east.Toronto is moving east at an alarming rate and what used to be farmland and back roads is no more.Durham region used to have some of the best farmland in the world. Now it grows houses, malls and roads.

Every time I hear that song I am reminded that there is a message there.

Here in London I still find it unusual to see farms on one side of the highways and houses or sub-divisions on the other side. When I lived in Toronto, I found the amount of people and buildings just claustrophobic! Too much noise, too many people, too much smog…Always something to do, but you often had to travel by subway or bus out to get peace and quiet-or a version of it. We lived near the Lakeshore, and people crowded there to see the water and to walk along the water on paths. There are far too many malls everywhere. As technology advances, we lose valuable aspects of our lives. All this hurry, hurry, faster, faster…I could never live in Toronto again and visit there seldom. That song, sung by different artists, makes me consider the above and has a warning for all of us.
