OHHHHHHH, what a beautiful place you have jroot. Loved seeing all your flowers and clicked on one of your photos to enlarge, so then, of course, had to see them again in larger view!!! :-) Loved the “gas plant” but giggled at your touch it and it smells like propane. Never heard of that. Wheelbarrows are wonderful. Very nice versions and like the deeper “box” to plant in.

Envious of your Dahlia blooms … I’m still looking at buds (as you know). But hoping in a couple of days that I too will be seeing some color on my Dahlia plants.

Lovely gardens. I especially like your “fence prop” this year. Can’t wait to see the Dutchman’s Pipe in bloom!

So many peonies. I love them, but DH is terribly allergic, so none for me.

Thanks for your kind comments, folks.

Bob, none of the brugs have blooms yet, but there are quite a few buds on them. So … in a while …. we will have another show. ;)

Gooseneck, I am sorry but I do not know the particular name of that one. I also have a gorgeous watermelon coloured bloom on a poppy, but it was beaten by the rain and not worthy of a photo today.

Gotta go now, and sell some more diamonds. :)

It certainly is classy-looking! Very pretty. I was surprised that your shasta’s are blooming. Mine aren’t there yet. Loved the planters and birdhouse in pic #15. all the flowers are so pretty.

Do you have the names of your peonys? #8, #16 and 17 in particular? The peonys are really spectacular this year. I like the pattern of your gardens, at least, as much as I could see in these pictures. Thanks for sharing all this loveliness with us.

Iris, I wish I did know the names, I had them at the old house. When I moved from there, I discovered that I couldn’t get into this place for a few months, so I heeled a lot of plants into a friend’s garden, and then moved them here. All labels were lost.

That one #8 is a truly neat peony though. I love the yellow centre and the light pink/white body.
the # 17 is one that I got from my dad’s garden – a very old fashioned single. I used to have only one clump, but this year, there seems to be a prolific number of them. Maybe me picking off the seeds and spreading them in the wild garden is working.

Dini, when I was watering this morning, I saw several of the RARELY seen Dutchman’s Pipe Flowers. One can see why they are called Dutchman’s Pipe.

They are somewhat innocuous and bland. Not much to write home to mother about. When I was a kid, I thought these were huge. Now, I see they are quite small. Of course, I don’t have a dog. My dad used to bury the dog doo near his Dutchman’s Pipe and Rhubarb. They grew huge leaves.

Oh, I like that!
So it’s a little understated, it’s still neat!
And I have a nice semi-shady spot where that might just fit nicely!
I’ll have to look for one.

With good soil, and not much light, the leaves get much larger. Mine gets too much light.
