Looking to purchase one of the heating mats used under the seed pod container.
I would like to know the real name for it. You know, don’t want to look too bad when the clerk looks back at me kind of funny. (LOL)
God bless

Just ask for a seed starting kit with the heating mat. It will be there along with all the plastic starter pots, little green housekits, etc.

I used the top of my fridge as a heating pad. seeds germinate quite quickly. Then I place them under lights in the garden room

I also have used an ordinary home heating pad or set trays over registers. I go to little expense or none and it all does the same things

Bunting, I’m so glad you just said that. I had quite the “Duh!” moment when I read it.

We got a new freezer for the basement a while ago that would work great for starting seeds. It’s always nice and warm on the top.

Can easily sprout them there then move them to racks, which I’ll have set up for next year.

Yes that would be perfect Scott

I have 2 freezers but I don’t get any heat from them or I would be using them too
One is old old so I would think I would get lots of heat but I don’t

Ypu have 13 cats? wow I had that many one time. People were dumping them out in the Fall and they came to my house. I just coulnd’t see them out all winter . I found homes for most as they were first year kittens

I have 3 now. I had a friend drop in today, I don’t think he liked cats and pushed one harshly away when he wanted attention just saying hello

I didn’t think highly of the way he treated my baby

The way I look at it, you want me as a friend then except my babies too They are part of me

Cat lover too

I’m in the same boat, Bob! It’s a good thing we live on such a small piece of land, or my wife would have cows, sheep, peacocks, and a 20 lb. barn cat.

I have used the top of my VCR / CD player. It gets nice and warm there.
