it’s interesting that the chart from Environment Canada uses “state” and not “province”.. tsk tsk

Hamilton: 168 days (April 29 – Oct. 15)
Kitchener 139 days (May 11 – Sept 29)
London: 151 days (May 9 – Oct. 8)

wow.. that’s quite a difference. I’m in the middle of those three areas.. I want to pretend that I’m in Hamilton!!

I think June 2 is a little off for St. John’s…We often have frost the third week in June…June 20th is my safe date.

I think they just pulled those dates out of the air somewhere, or from where the sun don’t shine.

For my zone 5b, I’ll waittill after May two four

Well I am a after May 24 myself but that is almost right. It may not frost at night but she can get really chilly around that time. I may try earlier and then have back up seedlings hehehe. Trying to be fool proof

In my area we usually don’t plant until May 24 week-end.But an old timer once told me that it is safe to plant after the full moon in May.She says the full moon always makes the weather colder. So for the last few years I have been following this advice with very good results.
