it’s interesting that the chart from Environment Canada uses “state” and not “province”.. tsk tsk Hamilton: 168 days (April 29 – Oct. 15) wow.. that’s quite a difference. Well I am a after May 24 myself but that is almost right. It may not frost at night but she can get really chilly around that time. I may try earlier and then have back up seedlings hehehe. Trying to be fool proof -- Living on the level... Central Ontario...1.25 hrs from TO.......Zone 5a |

In my area we usually don’t plant until May 24 week-end.But an old timer once told me that it is safe to plant after the full moon in May.She says the full moon always makes the weather colder.So for the last few years I have been following this advice with very good results. -- Bon,Hastings,Ont.....zone 5a....Always room for one more |
