70 by day and risk of frost by night its lovely here at present in England I took a few chances and planted some veg out early but seem to have got away with it. I have over 2000 seedlings and plants in the greenhouse and having to water every night inside and out. Being follically challenged I caught the sun on my head and I am starting to look brown from just pottering about in the garden. I hope you are all having milder weather now regards Mike

I got a burn both weekends I worked on the coop so long.. It wouldn’t have been so bad, but I had a haircut and the back of my neck hasn’t seen sun since last fall.

Wife said I looked creepy when the back of my neck started to peel.

What is the new saying?................slap on the hat, slop on the sunscreen and slip on the shirt! :-) Or something like that….......................Sorry, once a mother, always a mother…..................................

Where is your sunscreen, gentlemen? That means you-Mike and Scott. Do I have to lecture you about the dangers of sun exposure? Its the nurse in me! Especially for those of you who are follically-challenged. Men look good in hats. Pick a cool one or at least a practical one. Sunburns are no fun! Mike, do you sell these seedlings? What do you grow? Top of the day to you.

I hear ya Iris … I think I mentioned a hat to someone last year … not sure if it was Scott or Greenthumb … always a mom or grandmother … not sure who I was “channeling that day” – hahaha!!!

Mike, WOW—2000 seedlings; that is spectacular. Your place must be so filled with life now … all those seedlings coming up … marvelous!!!! Wish I was near, cuz I would sure be purchasing a few plants from ya!!

They say we are having a beautiful weekend; so we’ll get to enjoy that sunshine with you!! :-)

Yes, well, as one of those Moms who is always reminding her easily tanned daughter to wear sunscreen, I, of course did not when I was out mowing our lawn last Saturday. Red face, red arms, but they tanned really quickly, and never did feel burnt. I never think of it when I’m out puttering around in the yard. Oh, and then I read the label on this medication I take for my one arthritic knee, and it said to avoid prolonged exposure in the sun! LOL So much for staying out of the sun. :-)

I find that as long as my face is shaded, I am good to go with the meds that say “stay out of the sun” ... LOVE my big ol’ visor!!!

And, don’t you ladies know how cool you look in wide-brimmed hats? Like southern belles!
