Does anyone know how I am to keep care of it? Last year I just let it do its own thing but for some reason I think it may need something. I was thinking in the spring time of throwing some compost into it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Compost is great! Lavender doesn’t need that much care. At least mine doesn’t!
It been in the same spot for 5 years and is doing just great there but I want to move it to my “Xero” garden this Spring!

If it is doing well then just let it be :) No-fuss plants are the best.

I will take a picture in the spring to get you guys to look at it. It could be woody I am not really sure what it is look like. But I know that it does not look like Jekka’s in her herb book.

That was a really helpful video X.Thanks for sharing. The only thing she forgot to mention was weather to prune it in the spring or fall. I am assuming that it should be done in the fall since she was doing it while cutting the flowers.Does anyone know if it can be done in early spring also?

Prune in spring when flowers start to bloom.

Thank you for the video it was great. I am not allowed the curved knife. I am told that I will not have any fingers left. Which is probablly true.

I think all my plants are in the 3 yr old range. So I have some pruneing to do. And no compost. Thanks again.

Very interesting. Now I know what I did wrong. :(

There is always next year. Lavender likes sun, right? How about moisture?

Full sun, alkaline soil (lime) and lavender is very drought tolerant.
