tell when someone posts the last post?

There are no dates. I see it says things like posted 5 days ago but that doesn’t tell me what 5 days ago if I don’t get time to be on here every week.

Very connfusing.

Is there a way admin can have dates come up??

Now I dont see where to submit this.

The word submit is not there.

Hey Carolyn.. “ago time” is since now – that means if something was posted 12hrs ago it was posted exactly 12hrs before you’re reading it.. come back to that same post one hour later and it will say 13hrs ago.

Yes.. thinking about adding exact dates too.

I’m sure the date thing is harder to do when you have people from a variety of different time zones on here.

well 8×30 = 240 so approximately 8 months ago..

of course people could post the date themselves in the original post; that might help while we wait for the “date” issue to reach the top of Martin’s to-do list.

Good idea MsDeb … and I like Bon’s suggestion, it’s simple … just the month and year would be plenty. Although personally, I am not having a issue with how it is working now.

Oh yes, great suggestion, month and year would be great

On another forum they give the date, year and time someone posted. it goes by Ont time

I have to admit when I see last posted 240 days ago, I dont reply too long ago and I can’t be bothered to figure it out. so I move on but even the month would be great.

thanks

MS Deb

Of course we could type in the date ourselves.

How stupid of me not to think of that

We have new members constantly joining, and hopefully commenting on older threads; that are new to them. No one should be “afraid” or feel it is too late to comment on any thread here on GT. The whole point of all this is get/share ideas and your thoughts … whether they come immediately after someone has posted or possibly a year later. Personally, I love when a “old” thread is circulated again with new comments.

I agree GramT.
At LumberJocks, people respond to posts as if they were typed today, regardless of when they found it. ALL information is helpful and supportive, even if it comes a year or two or three later.

Great

Then I will do that from now on. Guess I thought who would be interested in old news stuff. I know I am but wasn’t sure about the rest

That makes me feel good

I’m glad you feel better about posting on whatever strikes your interest … no matter “how old” ... :-)
