For me the one rule is” make sure all containers and utensils are spotless”!
Nothing worst than opening some jars of homemade goodies and finding “mold”!!

FUNNEL: I have an antique ladle that holds a full cup. It’s big but my funnel is not. Although it works I’m keeping my eyes open for an extra large-mouthed funnel to make the process even easier.

JARS: can according to your family: sometimes a pint jar is more appropriate and sometimes it’s better to put things in a quart jar. Of course storage is also a factor in this decision.

If I had the extra cash I’d invest in new pint jars and purchase the new wide-mouthed pints.

Good tips Ms Deb

I use pint mason jars. I bought a lot of new ones this year and they do have wider mouths.

Better for ladeling

I like the pint bottles best as with just myself I am not eating the same thing for days plus I give a lot away

Hey Msd. If it’s a large funnel your looking for then try Canadian Tire and the dept. that sell the gas cans. They got some pretty neat ones.
