Well, this is my “new” tractor (some one already stole my title.) All the tech stuff…..1995, All hydrostatic, less than 400 hrs, diesel, 4wd.

This will be a welcome edition to the farm. I was barely off the trailer and I was bush-hogging down the driveway. Same weight and HP as my 8N, but, being diesel, and not 60 yrs old, and 4wd, it certainly has already shown it can do alot more work. The newer bush hog (one that is actually in balance and not all rusted out) can barely be heard over the diesel.

It arrived just in time to do all the fall clean-up. Maybe this year I’ll actually get some winter wheat in.

For those of you that might actually be interested, I will be posting another blog in my series soon. This has been a different year for me. It has caused a stutter in my series. I was hesitating whether to continue it or not. But, I started it. I will continue it.

I’ve enjoyed reading your “From Here to There … and Back” series. Looking forward to the next chapter.

Congratulations on the new additon to the farm!! I can only imagine the work this tractor will help you do. Your “world” is so different from mine.

Hard to believe its the same HP as an 8N but then its a deisel. Gotta love the 4WD, maybe no chains required for the snow?

I just love tractors. They are a farmers dream come true and they can do sooooo much.

I put a block heater on mine that has a pump that circulates the heat and also put a switch on the battery where it is impossible to “drain” the charge. Around these parts the law enforcement will ticket you if you are the road with out headlights, tail lights and a flourescent sign on the back….....just in case you choose to plow a neighbors driveway?

It’s got all the lights and the sign. Even has high and low beams, turn signals….and…get this….tilt steering wheel ?!

All it needs now (other than a front loader) is an IPod and I could raise my produce to Chopin or Liszt!

I sure would like a bush hog but needed a mower, and a snow blower, and a post hole digger even more. I just love all the toys and tools you can get for the PTO like a water pump, log splitter, generator, buzz saw…..and the list just doesnt end.

I used the loader to adjust the hill at the entrance to the driveway. What would have taken me days or even weeks with a hand shovel was done in an hour.

Gotta love tractors!!!
