Just wanted to say good morning to everyone.

The site is relatively quiet right now. Everyone must be taking a well-deserved break from all the gardening tasks—or they are outside busy preparing for our next season.

Have a great weekend everyone! It’s going to be a wet one here. We had 3 days of sunshine – I got the pool down (WOO HOOO glad that is off my list).

Good mornin MsD.I got some of my plants moved during our couple of sunny days but now we are in for 4 more days of rain.Guess this will give me a chance to get the old wishing well pulled apart and painted. My flowers are slowly taking a beating from the rain and are not looking too good right now.Oh well, time to get all the seeds and start pulling the annuals out. (lol)

Good Morning to you guys!! I haven’t done much these days; just been outside taking a few walks and enjoying the sunshine. Figure I got a bit more time before I have to REALLY get at my front bed. Although the flowers in all my containers are being pulled and the baskets being stored downstairs … who planted ALL those containers anyway??!! Hahahahaha!!!!

Other than that today is hubby and my 34th wedding anniversary. Be a nice weekend, even with all the rain coming.

Is awful quiet… I’d post something, but I’d gotten nothing done.

Well… Did try to make watermelon jelly on a whim. It SUCKED badly.. Sink fodder for sure.

On the bright side, getting good at making persimmon jelly. Did a second batch yesterday, was much stronger in flavor.. Really good.

Thank you Scott!! Hubby and I are a bit of history buffs and LOVE Greenfield Village (now named The Henry Ford). Sooooo, we are heading there tomorrow to spend a lovely day. We prefer the “village” but with the rain predicted we will probably head into the museum. Been YEARS since we were in the museum. Then hoping to head over to Eagle Tavern (at the Village) for a delicious 1800’s prepared lunch … just a nice day of strolling about, hand-holding and togetherness.

Hey MsD thanks for a nice morning welcome. Congratulations GranT on your Anniversary. Scott you really do need chickens to help you dispose of the creative experiments that you are not pleased with ;) hold off on giving them mountain dew jelly tho..hehe.

I’m getting a bit stir-crazy recovering from 2hrs of dental work yesterday…owweee. I have to eat mush and relax for a bit but I hate resting…oh well at least all went well and I survived the ordeal.

I hope everyone is having a great day!!

Well thanks everyone … and Dini, I’m not promising anything .. ;-)

XO, sorry to hear about your dental work. It is never pleasant. Just glad they helped with whatever situation you were dealing with and you are on the mend. Seems like when your teeth hurt, everything hurts.

Thank you again to all who sent their well wishes for our anniversary!!! We have had a wonderful anniversary; began last night with a delicious steak dinner at one of our favorite restaurants and today we headed to “Greenfield Village – Museum”. Lots to see … marvelous couple of days!!! :-)

oh yes.. the good night sleeps are a blessing, that’s for sure!!

we’re having gorgeous summer weather now along with the cool nights.
If I wasn’t so busy with other things I’d really be spending most of my days out doors.. but then the mosquitoes haven’t left us yet and they are really annoying.

I’m (very slowly) getting back into action…we’ve been out of the picture the last two weeks with the birth of our daughter. I’m back to work tomorrow to try to get some rest! LOL…

The gardens have all had a very rough season! With major home renovation projects and my 2-year old apprentice “helping” on everything, we’re not going to concentrate on the negatives, and instead, think about next year.

Congratulations and Best Wishes “D”!!! A little girl and her daddy develop such a very special bond. It is a wonderful and very precious relationship and quite different from the one with mom. God certainly has blessed you “D” with an awesome family … Congratulations again!!!

Congratulations, D! Always put off the garden for kiddy-time, after all, the weeds aren’t going anywhere, but kids grow up way too fast!

I’m back now, so I will try to liven up the site. .... in between fixing up the garden after so many week’s neglect, and the tail end of Gustov coming through here while I was away. ... lots of staking to do, and cutting out fallen plants.

oh I can just imagine the work ahead of you.. yikes!

Of course, I haven’t done much in my gardens lately, either, and if we’re getting together next weekend, I’m going to be very embarrassed by the condition it is in.
