Topic tags/keywords: humor cooking You’ve been posting some very tempting foodstuffs, so I thought maybe you’d like to see what we’re having for supper. Chicken with beer up the butt. Serve this with nice Fava beans, corn on the cobb, freshly sliced tomatoes with fresh basil, fresh from the market. .... and if I’m a good boy, Vanilla Ice Cream in a chocolate cup covered with fresh Red Haven peaches and lots of maple syrup. Well some of it is from the garden. LOL -- jroot |

OMG, zombie chicken! RUN! Hmmm, is that the finished product, or part way through? That’s not a bad looking grill, eh.. You’ve got good cast iron grates, thick material and whatnot.. -- Planting Daylilies in Kentucky, zone 6b |

... part way through. One can use juice, instead of beer. It sure is tender. If it flares up, I sometimes douse it with a little beer as well, if there is any left in the bottle. ;) It is a double grill. The large side has 3 burners. The one on which I am cooking the chicken has only one burner. It is a stainless steel, and has a massive rotisserie & side roaster which I have never used. Maybe the next chicken. -- jroot |

What kind of juice did you use in the can? Apple would be the first to come to my mind, but OJ would be nice too.. Use what’s left in the can to make a sauce.. mmm… I did a boston butt a few days ago, in my electric smoker though.. Think I’ll fire up the grill this weekend if it’s not raining. :) -- Planting Daylilies in Kentucky, zone 6b |

I’ve used orange juice, and also apple juice. I do like the orange, but really prefer the beer. ( for cooking with LOL ) The chicken was SO moist, it was unbelievable. One of our favourite ways of cooking the bird, but it has to be a small one ( about 3 pounds – 1.4 kg). -- jroot |

Walmart sells a folding model. Lowes also stocks them. J’s looks rather beefy though in comparison to the one I’d seen at WallyWorld. -- Planting Daylilies in Kentucky, zone 6b |

We had a flimsy one before and got rid of it. This one is quite sturdy as Scott has observed. One had to really shove the top up the butt, so it has to stand the pressure. -- jroot |

I was in one of the “real” dollar stores once and, with a line-up of 20 people waiting, we heard “Price check”.. and we had to wait for someone to find the price for the item. -- - Debbie, SW Ontario Canada (USDA Hardiness Zone: 5a) |

Looks good jroot. I’ve prepared beer can chicken as well … smothered the skin with all sorts of great spices. Turkey comes out beautiful when BBQ’d on the spit as well. -- blooz 5b - You can bury a lot of troubles digging in the dirt. ~author unkown |

Well Jroot its most interesting to hear about how the stand is inserted into the rear quarters of the chicken who is by now blind drunk and headless and posing as a concert pianist.
