Topic tags/keywords: perennial tropical zone 5

There are some plants which don’t necessarily smell great, but sure do look great.

Those are my dahlias. Beautiful reds and pinks. I should try to get a shot a sundown. Spectacular.

do you have several colors of Hibiscus’??? Wondering if the top first and last and then the second photo of the just posted pics above. If not Hibiscus, what are they, if I might ask. Beautiful flowers!!!!!

The top first is a Rose of Sharon. The top last is a perennial hibiscus called Candy Floss – just in the process of opening today. The 2nd photo of the just posted above pics is a hollyhock. It is a really neat shot though isn’t it.

I do have another hibiscus which is a salmony yellow in a double flower. It was in bloom yesterday, but I didn’t take a picture of it. Maybe there will be another one this week.

I also have a yellow one with a red throat. It is a beauty also.

I don’t recall having any seeds on the yellow hibiscus….ever. I got the double from a gardening friend in Burlington, who took cuttings from her neighbours. Only two of seven cuttings took. I got one. So… sorry, I double that there will be seeds. I’ll keep an eye open though.
