Topic tags/keywords: resource tip recycling

I was just watching the video about rolling your own “planter pots” by Xploreorganics with newspapers and started thinking of a “kit made of recycled items” to give as present to another gardener or to somebody that is just starting!

Here I am using X’s recycled products to start my “kit”!

Recycle an old “wicker basket” and fill it with:

1-. Rolled newspaper pots.

2-. Saved seeds from your garden into those neat envelopes by X.

3-. ???

What else can you think of?

Also to be used for filling with goodies:
Weed “pail”: old metal pail with wholes in the bottom for drainage.

Well if it is for a new gardener, maybe some nicely printed up or handwritten notes on how to begin these seeds. Maybe some growing tips that you have learned …

Good ideas everyone. My brain is running low today the only thing I could come up with is maybe a spray bottle to keep the seedlings moist.

A kneeling mat. After I paid $5 for mine, I realized I could make one with leftover dowfoam covered with a cute upholstery fabric!

Or a bottle of Avon’s Skin-So-Soft (still works as well as Off or Cutter’s!).
