This double one is a real fluke

I am going to save the seeds and see if they will re-produce the doubles next year. Most blanket flowwrs are huge 4 inches in diameter

The yellow double lilly I think it is the only one that I know of but they are experimenting with others

The blanket flower with double petals is called” mutation”“

and often the seeds are sterile

But I will keep the seeds and start them next Spring

But it is no quarentee they will germinate or even come out the same

I’d be some lucky if they did. Then I would have a “True” variety

I have pink,yellow and red double lilys,planted them last year but they didn’t really impress me.This year however,they are gorgeous.

yes lillies take 2-3 years with some of them to explode with color and formation

I love lillies

A poster on another fourm told me doubles were very uncommon but I learned this week that isnt so
