Weather finely got decent to start trimming the cedars that line our land, today. Two hours in I lost the spark on my main felling saw. Walked over to my trailer to retrieve another saw & decided to back the trailer up to load branches. Backed the trailer onto my trimming saw (still works, but broke some of the side case). Decided to quit, and drove back to the house. Got my old MF65 and drove down to push the bigger tops off the drive. Pushed one load up the drive and into the woods. Went back down to push another load and couldn’t steer the tractor! Snapped the drag link ball in the steering. Started back to the garage, steering by lifting the front of the tractor, getting off and kicking the tires straight, then going till they veered again. Halfway back one of the pressure hoses blew out covering me in oil. Got cleaned up and ran 25 mi. one way to get a new hose. Fixed that. Got the tractor in the garage And quit! Some days I believe I’m going backwards instead of gaining! The trouble is I’m looking forward to getting back out to the trees! Do I need help?

Good to chuckle about our “challenges”.

I look forward to getting out to my trees as well. Lots of storm damage to clean up.
