Hi We really enjoy this site but mostly “lurk and learn”

Do y’all have white squirrels where you live or are they ‘local’.
These aren’t albino. They are like a grey squirrel but are white. Since we moved here we’ve seen them with the grey and have a couple of cross-bred that are white with a dark stripe on their back.
Hard to find much real information on them.
Just wondering.
I’ll post some pics as soon as LOML can help me remember how.
(ie – when she get time I’ll bribe her lol)

I wrote an article once on the grey squirrel. I didn’t know that the black squirrel was just a grey squirrel with different coloured hair. I guess the hair comes in all shades just like humans’.

The white sure is gorgeous! Never seen one here (SW Ontario).

I know that Exeter Ontario is known for its white squirrels.People drive from all over just to get a glimse of them.
