This is a shrub in the front yard against the foundation which has got us stumped. It’s about 3’ tall, does bloom but not quite yet. Has longer leaves and an odd flaking style bark which is a lovely brown color.

As usual, click to see the larger image.

It looks familiar but I can’t put a name on it

I like the looks of it.

Sorry Carolyn

I have absolutely no idea. I don’t know many plants by name.
Here’s my “out of the blue” guess. Honeysuckle bush?

Yup, Honeysuckle, and a wonderful specimen too.

Hmmm, not sure about that one still.. I’d been unable to verify, but given the number of different Honeysuckles out there it could be.

Any ideas as to what one it may be?

Mine will bloom next month. Oh the fragrance and that is when I have bees. So I hope I have lots of bees this year. Not many last year
