Every year I look for a new plant to experiement with within my gardens. It could be either an annual or perennial. This year I found a plant called ”Opal Innocence” – Nemesia Fruticans. Here in Michigan it is an annual. A “Proven Winners” variety. It is a pretty little thing, full of white/blue pedal flowers. They say it has an upright growth habit and likes full sun. No deadheading necessary. Height is 12-16”. Blooms from spring to fall. I bought two and am excited to see how they do this season.

Anyone else experimenting this season with “something” new??

What beautiful shades of colour. I think I shall look for this plant GrandmaT. It’s new to me. Does look like an Opal in colouring too. Going to search the nursery and hoping. Thanks for your posting.

Good Luck to the both of us, ey Blooz!!! :-) I know they are selling this plant at English Gardens and Home Depot. If you end up purchasing one, we’ll have to compare notes.

”D”—I’ll have to go on line to see what Giant Alliums look like. Sound spectacular!!

And Ms.Deb ... I know you got lots of wonderful things in your gardens this year!!! Gonna be gorgeous!!

Such a nice choice. Such a lot of gentle colours in one little flower…..Will they be in a bed or in a pot?

Thank you for all your lovely comments!!! I am anxious, as I said to see how these little “guys” perform this summer. If they do well, I think they just might become a “staple” in my annual purchasing each season.

Desley ... I planted them in my front yard flower bed. Should be a nice pop of color. (Once I get the bed all planted, I’ll take some photos.) They would be really pretty in a container as well though. Toyed with that for a minute, and who knows I may go back and get a few more for a container on my back patio.

I always have to giggle at this time of year. Cuz my perennials are still “coming up” and the annuals that I am now placing throughout the bed are already in bloom. Always feel like my perennials are r-a-c-i-n-g to catch up with the annuals. Hahahahaha!!!
