Debbie, are you referring to high density trees such as the backyard orchard foundation or bio-intensive planting, or both? Some would even call square foot gardening high density planting, that is why I thought I would ask for a clarification.

Regards
Vince

A great strategy for high density gardening is to stagger the times fruit (for example) will ripen.
Having some fruit ripen early and some late not only provides fruit throughout the season but also helps in regards to frost issues in the spring (blossoms) and fall.

Here is a great site for lists of varieties and ripening dates: LINK
