Hi All you Tenders…I’m still around but very busy with my blog. I am having a giveaway of a beautiful garden theme organic cotton apron which ends in 3 hours and another for a fantastic collection of seeds in a few days so I thought I would pop in and let you know. http://www.colorfulcanary.com/

Quick update: Everything is found on my blog…I’m looking forward to the gardening season, have a few big projects in mind :)...Down two two old roosters (Rooey & Combie) they just turned 8 years old.

Glad to see all of you again and your great projects, a wonderful inspiration.

I’ll try to keep in touch more.

XO

Good to hear from you, XploreOrganics. It HAS been a while. How did the garden go last year? (With 25 cm of snow, it is not a good time to ask how it is going this year. LOL ). Have you got any seedlings started yet?

How did that wonderful greenhouse hold up? I am still toying with putting one in here.

As I type, it is starting to hail outside here. Some April Fool’s joke !

The greenhouse is still standing strong! The plastic is holding up well. Last year the garden bombed. We had a total of 6 days of sunshine and due to all the rain the slug battle became uncontrollable, copper, garlic, clove oil, organic concoctions, beer traps and everything imaginable yet we still collected 100-300 each evening munching on our plants, and what the slugs didn’t eat, the rabbits polished off….I did have a bumper crop of beets and managed to salvage a few salads :). I’m planning on tearing up 1/2 the front lawn this year to grow food away from the woodland area and hopefully it will help with the slug issue…and if we have some sun of course. No seeds started yet, our last frost Date is June 20th so I will be starting some seeds in the next couple of weeks. I found a company who sells organic short season tomato seeds and they were generous enough to send me a collection for free and are offering another collection to my blog subscribers which I will be announcing tomorrow :)
