I will admit I don’t have much time to be here for a while because I am just too busy, but that doesn’t mean I don’t enjoy this site.I have met some VERY nice people and enjoy the “garden talk”. -- Southwestern Ontario Canada Zone5b |

Countrygal…..so you know me from other forums do you or is that what the person you’ve been talking to wants you to believe? I’ll hate to be as gullible like that, going only by hear say Personally I don’t care! If you bother to open your eyes and look at what is being said here, you will notice that the person you are trying to backup started all this on here, and continues to follow my posts around and comment on them. I have told the person to stay out of my business, but this person or thing refuses to do so. So please before you start to take the high moral ground, look at posts, what is being said and try to understand that it takes one action for a reaction to happen. I am only rude to people that are rude to me. I have met a couple of people on this site in person, and have shown the utmost respect in my dealings with them. The same goes for you too, keep your nose out of my business and everyone is happy! If you can’t do that, then you are the one with the problem. -- Hooked on Gardening.....Ontario zone 5b |

I would suggest that if somoneone has an issue with another member rather than stating it pubically, “take it outside” by conversing through the personal messages section. I have been on too many sites that soured due to a few quarreling members. -- Xploreorganics, 5b Canada, LFD 06-20 |

There are so many awesome sites out onthe internet but why does this happen. I think it has to do with the dark side of Human behaviour. I agree with Xploreorganics take it to the pm or just ignore it. Humans will stop if they know it is not getting the desired reaction that they are craving. -- Living on the level... Please…..enough of the patronizing. Eklectic, you don’t know anything about me, not even half of it. Yes I post stuff on the forum, but what I don’t have to put up with, is some moron coming on here, pretending to know me and then start talking cr4p. This is first and foremost a garden forum, and that is how it should be viewed. -- Hooked on Gardening.....Ontario zone 5b |

It’s important to remember that we never have all of the details – there is always more to a situation than we are aware of. I can understand how easy it is to react without taking that second to remember to do it privately but things usually snowball out of control when we “react” rather than respond. Keeping the talk to “gardening related issues” brings out the best in everyone – including their support, their wisdom, their experience, and their questions which only help us all. -- - Debbie, SW Ontario Canada (USDA Hardiness Zone: 5a) |

And now on As The World Turns.. Some times the net is full of drama.. Some times it’s a sterile void.. It’s all part of the dynamic nature of the Internet. Why I remember back in the day of BBS’s many an argument. It’s just how things are. Often times issues are started over something as simple as a misunderstanding or misreading of a sentence. Often those little nuances picked up in person are lost online which can change perspective on what is conveyed. Anyway, Like MsD said, you never really know all the details. So…. Lets all go play in the dirt.. Rub it between your fingers and gripe when it’s under your nails. It’s all good.. ;) I’d be playing in the dirt but it’s freakin cold.. Have a frost warning tonight, so going to go cover some of the young plants. -- Planting Daylilies in Kentucky, zone 6b |

Bob and Scott…..I hear yous two, but what some people are failing to notice, is that everything was fine until a certain person or thing descended on this forum, with no interest in gardening by the looks of things, and decided I was someone else, called me a name that isn’t mine, and decided to just come on here to antagonize my posts. The threads and posts are there for all to see. I think my posts pretty much speak for themselves, and show that gardening is my motive here! -- Hooked on Gardening.....Ontario zone 5b |

come on everyone.. at least let the old wounds heal. Everyone is trying to be civil and move on but wounds are too fresh and too easily re-opened. It takes a community to raise a child and to keep a gardening site healthy and growing. We all have to work together here. Let this topic rest. EVERY comment made here either tears this site apart or nurtures it. Think twice before you hit that “Post this reply” button. Hey folks. I’ve read all the comments and it makes me sad. We are here to talk about gardening, not to argue. If someone is nasty or offensive, please send me private message and I take care of it. Don’t participate, don’t answer, just ignore all nasty posts or comments and let me know that there is something going on. And now, lets talk about dirt, plants, flowers and all the things that makes you feel happy. Howgh :) -- Michal, http://gardentenders.com |

Probably not worth your time, Bunting. Seriously, compared to some of the other contentious forums where I spend time, this place is a perennial teaparty. (sorry, I always intend my puns, I’m vicious like that) Getting bent out of shape on off-topic crapola is a total waste of time. Now that Bulli has provided us with means to air our greivances in a manner that won’t derail an otherwise thoroughly pleasant forum, I amicably suggest we all follow his advice. I’m off to take some shots of my first bloomers of the season…my mini-dafs and hyacinths. I wish I could upload the scent of these hyacinths and share them with you all! -- Living on the square...Metro Detroit |

Hey speaking of mud, I was on my way home from work late one night and there were all these big pick up trucks parked at the side of the road. I couldn’t tell what colour they were because of the mud. They had been mud driving and when I looked toward the creek it looked like one of them had got too close to the water and wasn’t going to be able to get out with out some bigtime help. I couldn’t help but be glad that my two sons are away from home and wouldn’t be able to try this activity. Isn’t it grand to be young!!! -- horsetail, Fergus, Ontario |
