  • clean equipment means a better chance of not transferring contaminates/disease to the plant cutting
  • the cutting needs a node (where a leaf is or was attached), which is where the roots will grow

I just watered my 90 geranium (pelargonium) cuttings ( some with 2 or 3 in the pot ), and checked on my 10 variegated impatiens cuttings, as well as the brugmanisa and tropical hibiscus cuttings.

They are a great way to make new plants, and save a lot of $$$. Not all of them take, but enough to fill the garden, and give away to friends as gifts.

I’ll try to add the “cutting” & “propagation” link to some of my previous postings where appropriate.
