July this year was the sickiest I have been in many years

On a Monday nite my throat got a bit sore, I had headache, sore ears and scratchy throat and had a low grade temp

I took 2 of my elderbety capsules as I always do when coming down with something
They are a natural antibiotic and a flu and cold fighter, I swear by them since years.

Remember Grandma making elderbetty Jam and granpa makin elderberry wine.?? WEll Same berry .

My temps was back to normal and about 20 min and I took 2 more befor bed. Got up the next morning and took 2 more for good measure and all was gone. I took 6 more before bed for better measure, This always works and no more cold or flu

Now this is a normal thing with me with a normal flu or cold. I felt great for 3 more days until Thurs nite I began to vomit with no warning and felt all symtoms all over again. The sore throat etc I was sick all day then diarrea hit for 2 day. Then dehydration so a trip to th hospital and oh yes a stack of anti bioctics . Then striking temps where I broke out in cold sweats but felt like I was freezing. This hit me any time through the day for the next 4 days.

Then Bang, it hit my lungs and I have COPD. I could not breath. I panic and run outside at 3 am trying to breath , ( now why would that help, stupid me). I did find my puffer than helped

it got so bad I ended up in hospital under a resperator and intervenus.

CAUTION. Not everyone has it nearly this bad and not every one has all these symptoms But watch out for dehyration and the breathing. That is the worse.

Swine does attack the lungs and no one knows for sure if those who had it are immunied to it again. so I got the vaccine anyway as I am in the high risk group and I work in the public

Plus they are expcting the 3rd wave of it by Spring so better to protect ourselves PLUS it is mutating into more dangerous and deadlier bugs and with bird flu in EGYPT and Asia and Bird flu is bad bad in Asia

I have heard from others also that some feel better for 2-3 days then wham!!!

so be careful, be careful 5 have died in NS, 2 last week and they were only in their 40’s and very healthy, they had no unlining problems and it was the first man

I’m so glad you got over it finally Bunting.I keep dreading every time I go out that someone will pass it on to me.I got a cold 4 weeks ago that was unlike any I have ever had.The cold symptoms only lasted for 3 days and then the coughing started.I am just now getting so I can sleep at night without waking up coughing. It has been a really dry tickle in my throat and nothing would touch it.I tried nearly everything. The tickle wasn’t continuous though. It would hit whenever it felt like it and then completely go away for a few hours.I would feel great and then wham it would start again.Thank God that I am nearly over it finally.

What surprises me is that I didn’t get sick while in hospital, I always do

The woman they put beside me had blood infection. it started out like a flu bug. Then by the time she got to hospital 3 days after coming down with it her kidneys and liver hhad shut down. It was not swine. Then she got better and went home and another woman was moved in. Same thing with her blood infection

It is a virus but they dind’t know what kind. They were tested for swine but it was not. Both ladies had been down the hall a few days before they were moved in with me.

This virus starts out with bad vomiting and headache and very dizzie. The nurses siad if any one vomits 8 hours in a day to get to ER fast because the organs begin to shut down, so there is more than swine floating around.

For me I get everything but I didn’t get it at all. Maybe alrready having swine, it may have protected me that time, don’t know or just lucky

I hope everyone has a healthy happy wonderful Christmas

I’ve had my H1N1 injection … arm was a little sore for ~ 4 days but no reaction other than this.

My two sons both came down with swine. My eldest son was very ill …. thought he was over the swine only to have it return days later.

Hoping everyone has a swine free season.

Oh my , nasty. I hope you are all well now

Yes I found with swine, it can leave then come back.
It always worries me when children get it. it hits them so hard

My oldest grandson is getting over it now, yet his 2 brothers and his mom and dad didn’t get it yet. weird huh.

My arm was very sore for several days too and the funny thing, I had swine needle on my left arm and the seasonal on my right, Got them the same time. The seasonal needle hurt far more going in than the swine. it didn’t hurt at all but the nurse said my arm would be sore from the H1N1 vaccine and it was very and it was the siide I sleep on. lol,lol / Both arms sore , so slept on my back for a few days and found out I snore now and then. I woke myelf up a few times. I laffed to myself about that

The reason I know one man did not have underlying health problems because his brother called me about the life insurance portion. They are clients of mine.

I sell investments

I saw his passing in Halifax paper tonight Bunting. Yes, he was a healthy, active man. What a shock.
