Whew! What a difficult challege! I thought I’d start at the first of the year and go though each month to represent the whole year. Well, that didn’t work…I only got to June. But at least I am able to get one picture of my gorgeous irises!
1st picture, taken in January. Even the birds take a bath in winter. :) ( I felt this pic was appropriate bc you have to admit, we certainly HAD winter last year)
2nd picture, taken in Feb. while I was in Florida. I met Harold and Pam, GardenTenders, and had a wonderful visit at their home with Pam’s flowers all around us and seed catalogs for her love…tomatoes!
3rd picture, taken in May, one of the fox kits that lived under an outhouse at my friend’s property.
4th picture, finally some flowers! LOL My magnolia tree bloomed outstandingly. Having the oriole feeding on grape jelly also in the picture is a bonus.
5th picture, a fledgling robin sitting amongst my coleus and spider plant.
6th picture, finally some of my many irises riotly blooming.
I hope you enjoyed the pics! :D

I love that most of your pictures, other than your name-sake flowers, include critters – especially those tall ones! (Your friend doesn’t live next to an old coot with a hound dog and then named the fox, “Copper,” did she/he? – sorry, too much Disney in my life.)
Great photos, all.

Beautiful shots, Iris43. I’d love to see your garden in person some day.

Thank you, everyone. Picking just 6 pictures out of my garden albums was so-o hard. I’m glad you liked my choices. I’m looking forward to MsDeb’s slideshow of ALL our pics.
JustJoel, I had to leave out the pictures with the hummers, the butterflies, the frogs, the peonies, the pictures with Bobby (my cat) laying amongst the flowers, the rufus-sided towhee….....so many wonderful happening in my gardens. Oh well maybe next time…...and maybe a good reminder to keep our blogs re. daily happening in the gardens, up to date.

You chose six wonderful photos, Iris. Each one of them makes me think of you and the stories you have shared with us.
