Today my family and I were hiking in the Muir Woods near San Francisco, and I spied several fairy doors in these enchanted woods. Here are a couple of shots of one of them.
If you ever get a chance to visit these woods, take them in. Magestic redwoods and natural flora. Amazingly beautiful.

I’m starting to wonder if moss doesn’t have some magical power. Welcome to this side of the continent, Jroot. If you want to see some real moss, take trip up to the Olympic Peninsula of Washington State – the rainforest there is beautiful.

I was going to comment on the moss as well—it seems that Fairies really love having moss around their entrances/homes.
Of course it is obvious “why”—it is so beautiful and peaceful looking! Lovely setting and photo.

I used to hike from Muir Woods up to Mt. Tamalpais. I always loved the contrast of the cool, misty weather down in Muir Woods and the bright, hot sunshine above. If you have time, Jroot, another great place to visit is the Point Reyes Seashore. Enjoy!

I was reared in or near that area.

RCR, then you will certainly understand how “enchanting” these woods are. I hope everyone has a chance to enjoy these woods or some similar site.

Fairy door or not, it’s a stunning picture. I can almost smell the earth. Everybody should walk in a forest at least once a week. The trees renew our spirits.

From what I cuold see, it was as Nature presented it. I see no evidence of being man made. Fairies or Mother Nature, that is the question.
