I’ve been watching a certain Fairy Door now for several years. I was reminded of it when I saw some recent postings about the challenge, so, camera in hand I went down to visit.

Alas, the dog got there first.

I agree with Greenthumb, poor fairy! Nice hobbit door too.

I bet the fairies are used to dealling with curious pups – they’ll be fine, not to worry.

I think you are right, justjoel. They must be.

Just today, I was shovelling the walk after “the storm that wasn’t” and decided to go down to the bush to see how things were going down there. I saw that the fairies seemed to have survived, but built up some sort of barricade in front of their entrance. They seemed to be out and about today, based on the trampling of the snow. Even more remarkably, they also seemed to have cast a freezing spell on the pup, and moved him out of their way by a few inches. Remarkable critters, they are, for sure.

Hope the little guy doesn’t freeze his tail off.
