March 2008
I made these yesterday and will give them to my sister-in-law tomorrow (She’s hosting our Easter family get-together).
I will be getting some more wood so I can make myself a set. They’ll look cute peaking out from under the cedar trees.
Here they are visiting the “Extreme Birdhouse” that Rick is building from one of John’s plans.

Haha.. Cute..
So when are you going to adapt those bunnies and make them movable via strategically placed dowels? Be a snap to do and would be cool! ;)
Well, you’d have to change the head cuts though..

Holy Cow Debbie the birdhouse looks great , I really like how Rick did the corner post . It looks very nice.
I also like the bunnies , Thats a great touch .lol
It kind of reminds me of whirly gigs. I would like to design a few of them someday .

Speaking of patterns, where could I get a pattern for these and other critters?

found the pattern for these little lawn ornaments in the Scroll Saw Work Shop Magazine, Spring 2006 issue.

Because the wood is 3/4” thick and that causes me difficulty with the scroll saw, I chose to cut them out on the bandsaw.
