Well, here we go. These are a few pictures from around our home. Most were taken between 2003 and 2005.
My wife and I love junque. Anything that is rusty is fair game for the gardens:
Rust and mums…a great combination
More rust in the barn garden.
A painted chair and gourds.
Our beautiful lady bust has followed us to three houses.

We used yogurt applied on the redware to encourage moss.
We have three gazing balls that are all unique of themselves. The “shelf” on the fence was made from old wood and an old window found at the roadside.
We have quite a few shady spots where ferns are prolific.
Lucy and her pup wait to surprise the garden wanderer.

When things are hard to get rid of, it makes for great yard art! I love the yogurt idea.

someone was asking what they could do with an old window—that’s a great idea!!! Going to have to copy it somehow (I don’t have any fences available)
Rooster? What rooster?? lol I had to go back and check out all the pictures again…

after shovelling out from the latest “dump” of snow (over 5’ in places) and with a driveway about 200’ long with sidewalks to match, and sitting here now looking out at that snow glacier with temperatures cold enough to break the balls off a brass monkey
I love the photos, jut love the whismical look of everything.
Nicely done!

I’ve got to say I love the details on the house. I’m at a loss right now of what the name of the style is. Certainly not a craftsman.. Oh well, still escapes me..
Regardless, the work you’ve done on the garden is wonderful and really blends well not only with itself but with the architecture as a whole. I also like some of the whimsical little touches you’d placed throughout.
A few of the pieces have a newer look to them still.. Break out that yogurt and grab a fist full of moss to get some more of that mossy shake going! :)
From what I’d heard, buttermilk blended up with the variety of moss you wish to grow works better then just plain yogurt.
I’ve got several kinda of moss on the property which I’ll be propagating with the above method, soon.

Fantastic. I’m with “inthedirttn” I can’t decide which I like best, although I am leaning towards the fence with the shelf made from an old window.
