I thought i would post a few of my birdhouses here for those who don,t go to the sister site.

This 6 ft tall birdhouse is made from 80 year old reclaimed barn wood and it has 76 apartments, 6 balconies and 4 towers.
I haven’t put it up yet but the birds already like sitting in the towers. It will be mounted 8-9 ft in the air on a single post.

WOW!!! I became such a “fan” of yours after your first picture postings, a while back, here at GT. Just spectacular bird house John. I so love that you use all that reclaimed wood, makes those houses even more special in my mind …

Thank you everyone for the very nice comments. I always put a kitty cat in the picture just to show the scale of them .Once i move the houses away from my shop the cats don,t go near them.

Thank you greenthumb , i spent almost 2 weeks building this one . Before i can get started building i have to scrape the wood clean and then pull any old nails before i can start ripping it into logs . I use cheap blades because i always seem to miss a few nails here and there.

Your bird houses are just beautiful. It must take a great deal of patience to create such magnificent houses.Your little feathered friends are very lucky indeed.

Thank you Bon , i don,t find them to take very long when i am building them. I used to build real houses and they were much harder to build physically. I always follow the same steps so it does save a fair bit of time.
