Pushing up Daisies or Work Boots Recycled

I remember buying these boots during the winter of 1977 while living in Greenfield, Massachusetts and attending Hallmark Institute of Photography. That winter was a very cold and snowy one. As one snow storm buried us in the northeast, the relentless snow blew its way all the way down to Florida, where I live today!

These little boots served me well for many years through the snow storms of the north, hurricanes of the south, and all around hiking and yard work. Now they “rest in peace” pushing up daisies – such as Melampodium!!

A very clever container choice. I love the contrast of an old boot with cheerful blooming flowers.

The choice of daisy type flowers looks great in these old time-worn boots. I agree, a good entry for container gardening.

That was a wonderful idea and very picturesque. Now I will have to hide in my work shop in case my wife thinks like Debbie.

I can’t help imagining if they just picked up and walked or ran down the street! A great idea!
