Hi everyone , This Oblisk is 7 ft tall and is made fro 70 year old reclaimed barn wood.
I used a solid grey stain to protect it. It cost about $ 10.00 to build ( stain )

The shrub was already growing there so i built to go there. I have no idea what type it is. lol
There is a wild grape vine near by that climbs on it too.

I really like this piece and again, love the reclaimed wood … breathing new life into “old”. Pictures are awesome.

You are as talented in photography as you are in woodworking!
As well, what a sense for presentation!

Thank you everyone , i enjoy taking pictures almost as much as creating the actual picture.
When i built this thing i made it in 4 pieces and then last year we had a bad storm and it blew about 20 ft away and it pulled apart . I just noticed now that when i put it back together i put one of the sections in backwards so i will have to change that. I live in a great place for taking pictures but it gets extremely windy here too. Last night i had a 30 ft branch snap and it just about crushed my sitting area. Some how the branch fell over without causing any damage. I got lucky this time. I have lost a few ornaments in the past from high winds and damage from the trees. It even took my hydro lines completely down a few years ago.
I am amazed the my birdhouses stay up.

oh my!
the winds sure are howling, aren’t they!
We’re lucky with just a few small branches down today. The cloth roof on our gazebo is like a scarf blowing in the wind. I think there is only one small side still hanging onto the roof. It will probably be gone by the end of this wind storm.

Yes they are. I usually take a walk with the dogs in the woods and poor guys couldn’t understand why I stayed in the back yard. From where I am sitting right now, I see a lot of branches on the ground.
