Picked up these red “annual” Dianthus last year in a six pack from my local garden center, what a beautiful surprise this Spring! P.S. No laughing at my lawns pattern baldness, working on it!

What a pretty dianthus, and you have two years of it. Take care of it and it will continue to re-bloom yearly. Dianthus is from the sweet william family, and can be a tender perennial. I have some that I planted about 5 years ago and it still comes back. You just need something to partner it for later bloom. :-)

Very nice. I only wish it lasted longer in the garden. I lost mine a couple of years ago.

I used to grow these and when the first blooming ended I would cut them right back and they would bloom again.
