This is a look at the gardens in the backyard, starting with the zoom pictures…..........................................
#1 Looking across the yard to the east corner where I have planted a large variety of hostas, coralbells and ‘frosty morn’ sedum.
#2 Looking at the pond in the west corner, with pink bleedingheart, the peony tree, yarrow, siberian iris, cranesbill and various other flowers.
#3 This is the garden that is against the back deck, with pink and white bleedingheart, Stella lillies, a red tea rose, climbing hydrangea. Please note the onions, lettuce and radishes in the window boxes on the deck railing. :-)
#4 Another view of the pond looking through the pink lupine, Canadian anemones, ferns and a pink bleedingheart.
I seem to need to post this project in installments as windows Explorer keeps wanting to close the page for me and losing my work. So I will type and post a picture or two, and then edit to add more.
The following picture is the delphiniums blooming next to the arbor and looking toward the hosta corner in the backyard.
Coming through the arbor, the sweet william is just starting to bloom. The ‘Annabelle’ hydrangea is budded up but it’ll be a week or so before it begins to bloom.

Iris .. your gardens are SO beautiful!! Very natural yet neat and orderly and full of colour. You have done a magnificent job “painting” your yard.
Love the salad boxes! Just stand at the deck and pick a radish. Love it.

Thanks everyone. The delphiniums are really nice this year. I only wish I had more colours, white, dark blue, there is a pink one out now. My Dad used to have a corner in his garden where he grew a ‘pile’ of delphs. I haven’t found the perfect spot yet, but my daughter has and I am going to take pictures of hers to show you.
As you can see my BY has alot of shade and it had more bf the neighbour cut down the ash tree. So, the colour that I had to try for was shades of green and other shade-loving plants. Even without the ash, it’s still shady but little by little there will be more colour.
Thanks for stopping in to look. 8^)

I love your garden. It’s so English! The space in the centre gives an impression of restfulness. Your variety of plants also gives that impression of peace and quite. Brilliant idea of the veges in windowboxes.

Thanks Desktopgem. Glad you could drop by for a look.
GranT, I hope you can ‘visit’ my new blog, A visit at Wyndyacre. Although DD’s delphs aren’‘t blooming profusely yet, you will see them growing almost wildly. I will try to get another pic on a day when they are in full bloom.

Everyday in a garden is different, Greenthumb. I always want to preserve each day forever…....but of course like life that’s impossible, it’s ever-changing.
