Snowy Day in the Desert

This is my second winter here in the California’s desert. Jed had told me that it sometimes snows here. It was cold and cloudy one day and brilliant sunshine the next. The snow did not last long after the sun came out, but it was beautiful while it lasted. These pictures were taken out in the garden area.

Gorgeous, just gorgeous!!! We “northerners” take snow for granted; but when it is such an unexpected thing you can just delight in the beauty of it. Transforms everything doesn’t it!! I’m so glad you got your snow. :-)

Very nice. With that nice blue sky, the snow is very attractive.

Mickey, those pictures are so pretty! I have lived my whole life in SW Ontario and every winter I still thrill to the first snowfall of the year. But I also love the sight of large, lazy flakes drifting down from the sky, anytime during the winter. As jroot said, the contrast bt the fresh, wihite snow and the beautiful, blue sky is very pretty! Thanks for sharing. :-)
