Boy am I pooped!!!!
First I took a before picture of an ugly corner in the front of our yard.
I then removed all the snow and dead trees and replaced them with roses in bloom, lillies, creeping phlox, and a few evergreens. I filled a half barrel with petunias, I created a pond, changed the lights on our entrance door, placed a few hiddeen lights amogst the plants, layed a concrete pad and formed a curved set of concrete stairs, painted all the trims and fence then layed out our bistro table….Turned out the sun and turned on the lights…Voila….
And I did it all inside my nice cosy warm house on the computer…Hopefully I will be able to actually create this when the weather warms up.

Kudos!!!! ... here we all sit ON THE COMPUTER talking to one another. And it NEVER crossed my mind to “light up my garden” via computer. Very good, very good … :-)
And, the yard looks really nice … I hope your “warm weather wish” comes true.

Unless you are an architect I doubt Chief Architect is for you… It’s $2,195US.
If you want quality 3D and you are not overly concerned about CAD, layouts and precision I would suggest one of the Punch! programs they have both architectural and landscape programs and they are very easy to use.
For something free just use Google Sketchup and download the additional materials and components.
