I just wanted to post some pics of last years season with the carnies…they all did beautifully, with the oreophila pitchers reaching over two feet in length. Unfortunately no seeds were harvested due to improper hand-pollination on my part. I can only assume I missed the EPP :/ Will try again this year.

^^ Oreophila before bloom

Oreophila after bloom

Dahlias Delight mid-season sprout^^

I have them all timed out together now, so we should be seeing them awaken fairly soon. They are still sleeping for now though…. :)

What a fascinating collection of house plants you are growing! The “Dahlias Delight” is beautiful. How did you get interested in growing carnivorous plants? My youngest child is fascinated by these plants and we are fortunate to have a bog relatively near us that contains a healthy community of pitcher plants we can visit. If someone wanted to start growing carnies, what would they need to know?
