Hubby and I are enjoying our dinner when all of a sudden, he says, “What is that??!!!”
“Where” I say, not having a clue as to what he is talking about.
“Over there! Don’t you see it? Behind your Spinning Wheel …” It blends in so well on that wall, with the Spinning Wheel there.
So we both, ever so slowly creep toward the Spinning Wheel to get a closer look … and just as we get within a nose length, the slightly open door slams tightly shut and we hear a wee bit of laughter. For just a moment, we marvel at how pretty this little door is … such love and care was taken in creating this door.
Looks like MsDeb’s Fairies have crossed the border and found a new home … in our home!! I sure hope they are friendly Fairies and won’t be up to much mischief.

Love the story! You sure know how to tell them!
And the little door!! Makes me wish I had fairies moving in and building doors all over!
Mind you, they might just drive our 5 furry friends over the edge!!! :-D

oh what a perfect spot!! The fairies are very artistic. The shape of the door copies that of the spinning wheel. Very cool.
Now, do they speak with a Canadian accent, eh?

Yes, they were quite clever in hiding their door by the spining wheel … and hubby and I keeping hearing small squeels of laughter … no small chatter yet, so can’t tell if they are speaking “Canadian” or not -vbg-. Maybe tonight once we have climbed into bed and are all snug they will venture out. Ohhhhh, wonder if I will find Fairy Dust on my floor and counters???

Isn’t that something.
Did your hubby build the little door in there?? Sweet. I know, I know you said Ms Deb fairies but but but….
Is that what I am hearing early in the AM when the sun shines in on me in my bedroom.??
So it’s not the sun waking me then but the little fairies are.??
WOW!!! I thought I heard a bit of an Irish accent but thought I was dreaming.
Do they make crystalls?? Bet they do. lol,lol huh hu, one was sparkling laying on my pillow.
Is this for good luck?? Tell them I am lonely and come back. I love their visits, whispers and chuckles
and here I thought I was dreaming or thought the cats were learning broken English/Irish. lol,lol

oh, and fairy dust sparkles??? Darn.. guess it was just plain old DUST that I found yesterday then… sigh

Well MsD I looked real close alright and walked away saying … “That’s pretty spiffy.” Although I feel a bit shamed that it had to be imported from a foreign country.

I am pretty sure that when I first posted these that someone’s hubby had said “don’t expect me to make one” or something like that :)
I felt it was my duty as a fellow GardenTender to send one.

Those words, may have been said, or may not have been said. There are certain things I forget and certain thing I repress; it’s hard to tell them apart sometimes. Not only have you done your duty, but you have goaded me into the realm of possibility. Yes Grand Lady of GT and LJ you’re influence abounds where you least expect it.

Oh MY GOSH!!!! Was sitting in my chair when the little door creaked ever so slowly open, a sparkly light highlighted a wee bit of my Spinning Wheel. And for the briefest of seconds … a little giggle and then … a tiny wing … but then my darn chair creaked, and she disappeared as quickly as she had appeared.
I soooo am loving this door and where it takes my imagination … what fun!!! :-)

I made a door that opens for my granddaughter. She loves it and frequently checks for fairies. Inside the door is a little “foyer” with a table, pictures on the wall and a stairway to the “real” fairy door

This Spinning Wheel is a very precious thing to me … my grandmother brought it back in pieces with her from one of her family visits to “behind the Iron Curtain” in Germany. It has been in our family for generations.
My grandfather painstakingly put it all back together. What I love is I can still make out slight colors that were painted on the legs … green and a light pink …
Wish it could talk and tell stories of my family back then …
