My neighbour has decided to redo her lower patio, replacing the existing stones with different ones, adding a hot tub, and numerous new plantings. One of the plants she really wants is some miscanthus sinensis giganteum, which I happen to have. So….. to make a long story short, I will give her some of my giant grass and she has given me some of the former paving stones ( which she would otherwise have trucked to the dump).
I have always been bothered by the wetness of the back yard, as it slopes to the river, and had thought about putting in, or making, some stepping stones. This offer came unexpected, and so yesterday I installed some of her paving stones to make steppping stones for my back yard. I still have to tamp and add the sand, but it will definitely solve the problem for me.

Well, Debbie, Bon, and Eklectic, it is a very simple design. uses the same materials as my existing patio, .... and the price was right ;)
