This spring I was on the lookout for a mirror to place in my gardens and this mirror looked like it might work just fine – the cost was only a couple of dollars and it was made of metal so should hold up just fine. Now, the backing is just that cardboard stuff and when it starts to dissolve I think I should just be able to place some washers between the glass and the frame to hold it in place. So far you can’t even tell that the cardboard has endured a number of thunderstorms!

The mirror gets moved around the flowerbed depending on where people are sitting and what flowers are in bloom. It’s a great conversation piece, a little “surprise” amongst the plants, and it really helps highlight the colours and make it look like more flowers are blooming in the space.

An added bonus was when the cat discovered it and spent about 20 min. “stalking” the other cat and then peeked around the mirror trying to move around the other cat. Definitely entertaining.

It’s always nice to bring a little of the outdoors “in” but it’s also fun to take something indoors “out”.

This would be a GREAT project entry for our contest!!!! :-)

I LOVE that mirror and the way the flowers reflect in it. Just perfect in the garden!!! I never would have thought of that.

Beautiful, and very effective. I like how it is portable. I could use that idea myself.
