Hi everyone here are a few pictures of my new garden shed . I am going to use it as a home theater room during the summer and then as a storage shed in the winter . In a few years it will be turned into a playhouse for my grand kids .
I am also thinking of adding planter boxes under each window and maybe a weather vane on the top . Any ideas would be appreciated .

Fantastic! Looks like a house out of a fairy tale!

Will be a great playhouse! Lucky grandkids!

That is lovely! I envy your grandkids!
What a neat way to get double use of a very attractive structure!

That’s quite a shed. Did you do 2×2 construction on this, too?

Wow John … that is great looking shed/home-theater!!! And I love that it will eventually become a fabulous playhouse for the grandchildren …what memories they will make at Grandpa’s house!!!

The window boxes and weather vain will look GREAT. For your home theater you will want some shades or something to cover those windows to darken the room. And down the road, I would definitely add some whimsical curtains in those windows, especially when it becomes a playhouse.

Wait.. wha…? Theater room?

Only thing I can think of is mounting a projector and having it project out the window onto a screen outside?

Explain.. That really caught my attention, if even I missed it on the first read. Mayhaps it baffled my brain too much and it forgot it. :)

that’s amazing.
You are fast!! I’m embarrassed now at how long it’s taking to finish my gazebo.

What a great job you’ve done on this. LOVE the roof. Weathervane and window boxes will be perfect finishing touches!!!

Thank you everyone for all the nice comments . Scott i am going to have a LCD or plasma flat screen hung on the wall . Easy to bring in the house in the winter time and doesn,t take up any space.
Debbie , i thought i was going really slow on this thing . lol

Where is there an unglassed wall big enough for a tv?

And I would recommend LCD, personally, plasma reacts badly to too much handling.

Oh John I am sooooo glad to hear that … I too, just could not imagine such a pretty little cottage being used as a “shed”. :-)

wouldn’t that be fun?

We’re thinking about having a “structural renovation party” to put the roof on—my nephew builds houses etc and rumour has it that he doesn’t like being asking to do roofing. He’s not a roofer! Ok—so we’re doing structural renovations.. lol ..

Your theatre is looking grand. You could hold video parties in there!! :)

Love your shed!!! A few window boxes would set it off, curtains are a must for a theater. The weather vane would be a great touch. A few whimiscal touches outside would look great too,ie.(a little mailbox, birdhouse, a old wicker chair, a grapevine wreath) Just some ideas!

So, planning on putting up drywall on the inside, painting it, or leaving it as is?
