These are the first 3 of DH’s roses to bloom.
#1 is an orphan we rescued, had no idea what color it would be, but dang, it’s purty!
#2 is a Green Ice miniature, opens up deep pink, fades thru white to a very pale green.
#3 is just a grocery store pink miniature.
But, we have roses! And #1 has the most intense scent!

It’s a good thing I got those pics yesterday, ‘cause the storm last night beat the crud out of them!
Blew one of my flowerpots right off the deck step, and blew down a good-sized tree about 100 yds from the house, it landed right across the street and took out the neighbor’s back door!

Oh my gosh!!!! Glad you are okay and nobody got hurt. Little too close for comfort, that is for sure. After dragging all my pots and baskets up to the house, we got NOTHING … just rain, no wind, no hail, just rain. And for not that long either. Boy were the weather folk wrong for our area. I really was expecting the worst last night … and the sky sure looked like we were gonna get hammered.
But, new buds will open and before you know it and your roses will be breathtaking!!! :-)

Yes, ma’am. 4 clumps, one in each corner of the bed.

Was going to mention, and forgot. Right after I got that shot of the Tropicana, I cut it and gave it to the next-door neighbor (the one with the fence and six kids). You’d think I gave her a hundred dollar bill, she was so thrilled. She told her hubby all about it, how she was telling me how nice my flowers looked, and I just up and gave her that rose, then she told her FIL, then she told her friend down the street. All that gratitude for a flower I can’t even have in the house anyway ( triggers the asthma, as much as I love the smell).

and she probably doesn’t have a lot of time for smelling the roses – now she has a very special one … oh yes, I can feel her joy!
