This May Apple, sort of slipped into my garden, but is most welcome. This seems to have come over with several Hostas from a friend. Methinks one of their gnomes slipped it into the batch. Unless you are a gnome, the flower that appears in May is pretty well hidden, but the leafs are most interesting. The foliage looks more like something my wife would have in the house.
Anyway, this Native plant is most welcome, since it seems to be able to take care of itself. LOW MAINTENANCE!!

definitely looks like a gnome planting.
I love May apples and I think I’ll have to get a gnome so he/she will plant a bunch under my tree at the pond!!

Most interesting looking plant … have to say I have never seen one before. Maybe I need to get myself a gnome, cuz they sure do bring along some pretty flowers!!! :-)
