There is nothing like walking through my yard to put a smile on my face. Today is one of those days when my body and the pain got the upper hand. Instead of concentrating on that, I decided to take my camera outside and share with you what is blooming, been newly added and my back patio “swing” view. Let’s start walking and see what we can find …
The three above posted pictures are what is newly blooming in my front garden. The first one is a pink Dahlia that I planted, second is my Wild Geraniums in full bloom, and third photo are my idy-bity Zebrina Mallows, just poking their heads up to find sunlight.
Let’s check out with the front porch. Here is one of the hanging baskets that I created.
Here you can see both of them.
Here are some potted Gerbera Daisies on the front porch.
Walking to the side of the house, in my Container Garden, I replaced Pansies with Gazanias.
Back patio area ... tend to be growing “concrete” back here. But here is a new addition to my collection of containers for the patio; a small tin watering can that I filled with Million Bell Petunias.
Arrangement using the watering can, left corner of the patio. Also can see the Orange Zinnia’s that I planted in a very narrow bed. By summer the Zinnia’s will overtake that bed and be an explosion of Orange!!
The last three photos are views from my swing.
Here is my NEW basket (I filled it with pink Petunias). Fell in love with it when I saw it at the Farmer’s Market.
And last, the arrangement I made with my new basket, right corner of the patio

Thanks to ALL for your wonderful comments and well wishes!!! Feeling a bit better; just the way the ol’ bod is these days and I “roll with the punches” so to speak. :-)
Anywho, I am having a blast this spring. Gardening at this house is so different from our old home. More full sun, a lot less land, and lots more concrete here. I like that I am having to be a bit more creative. Never did any real container gardening before.

GrandmaT….I am so envious of your flowers. You have outdone yourself again. The new basket planter is really awesome.I have never seen one like it.Your containers are starting to look beautiful already. The orange zinnias will be so nice there too.It was so cold here last night.I covered most of the plants in the garden but I fear the cold might have been too much for some of them.Luckily I only put very few in to see how they would adjust to the cold.Tomorrow is the start of the warm weather supposedly. So I will plant everything tomorrow and Friday.Keeping my fingers crossed that no more real cold willl come. Once again congrat’s on your garden and hope you are feeling better.

Again, thank you everyone ... we have been fortunate here, the weather has gotten cool, but not cold. I have been moving my pots up near the house at night to give them a bit more protection. But tomorrow begins our warm up too. By Monday it is supposed to hit 80 (F)!!!!!!
I hope BON, that you have not lost too many plants. Will be anxious to see your pics from the coming weekend when you begin planting.

Glad you’re hurting less today, I can definitely sympathize there.
And your yard is rapidly becoming awesome!

you have created such wonderful little settings in your yard – the objects and flowers are so lovely.
I’m sure that focusing on the photography and your flowers was much more pleasant than letting the pain fill your mind. Takes a special person to be able to do that :)
Sending good thoughts your way.

I love your hanging baskets. So pretty. I’ve never been a fan of hanging baskets but those could sway me to the dark side. :-)
I think I might have to steal your watering can idea. My neighbour gave my daughter a small, ornamental watering can last week. My daughter also picked out some little petunias at the nursery today. Hmmmm…
