Well it’s been a year and the water garden is in great shape. Our koi, River, Rory and The Doctor are doing fine in their home, Amy Pond. (gotta be a Doctor fan to understand) For instance the singing frogs are called the OOD.
We are clearing a corner of the yard of it’s bambo in what I call Phase I of the new pond. I’ll post next weeks pic’s of us ripping out the roots using a small dozer,Dude fun. This area will rest till next summer during which I expect the bamboo to put up a hellofa fight. After that we hope to build about a 4000 galllon waterfal pond.
So here’s a few pics. The last three show the bamboo effort and the two goobers that think they’ll win the fight.

With a lame joke like that you could be asked to return your decoder/screwdriver and your Tardis key chain.

Your pond looks lovely and relaxing. Was it worth all the hard work putting it in?

If only that screwdriver worked like the Doctors I would buy it for sure.

Radicalfarmergal~ Very much worth it. At the time we weren’t sure what we were in for. We wondered how many $45 dollar fish we’d kill and if we could even keep the water clear. Patience has helped. The pond now is finally doing well, the pump finally running well and the 4” Koi are now 14”s long not to mention the plant life.
Here’s a pic this morning of the pond.
Our success so far has encouraged us as I showed above to start a second bigger pond. This one is about 160-180 gallons the new one should be over 4000gal.

I think the two bamboo-fighters can tackle the job. Good luck and I look forward to watching the progress of your 2nd habitat :)

Great looking pond JAGWAH, your next one at 4,000 gallons seems like quite the undertaking, I look forward to seeing the progress and completion photos
