This is so curious and looks nice. I think this is possible if pollination takes place in two varieties of poppies, red and yellow(I presume there are red poppies also). Your only plant in the garden must be a combination of the two varieties. Go on watching, You may get only yellow or only red poppies on the same bush. This has happened with me for hibiscus plant, two colors or two mixed colors on the same plant.

Yes, i agree with Sharad. It’s certainly unique. Why not save the seed, sow it and see what comes up. You could send the photo to the RHS too and see what they say, or some equivalent body.
I agree. What a wonderful find in your garden. What kind of poppy did you have sown there? Since I can’t see the foliage, and the flower is mixed, I’m left wondering.

What a beautiful poppy.I would do like Desktopgem says and sow the seeds from it to see if you can get more of them. I love the color of it.
