I thought I’d show 2 of this years birdhouses. It seems like every spring I get the need to build birdhouses. These are 2 that I remembered to take pictures of. I added back doors for clean up after nesting season…I wish I had some great garden pictures to share , but I’ve been lazy this year ( and my chickens got to my first plantings ). Do you think it’s to late to plant potatoes in Calif. ? I think I try.
Please let me know what you think.

Your birdhouses are beautiful.
You might be able to still plant potatoes depending on where in California you live. California is a big state. :) Potato plants do not do well in temperatures over ninety degrees so if you have hot summers it might be too late to try to grow them. They need time to create the potatoes and if it gets too hot, they will die back before the potatoes can grow.

Beautiful work. Love the roof on the first one. I’ve only got one up that I built with my young son, so it is very simple – must make one of my own and get creative like yours!

Hate to say it, but I just gotta. There is something fishy with one of those houses! Great looking birdhouses, they really add a lot of flavor to the area, love the designs.

Thank you everyone… the fish one didn’t start as a fish , I build the main part and the more I looked at it it looked like a fish.So I made the tail and it became a fish.
